My Favourite Dog Friendly Cafe Spots in Perth

My weekends usually involve me hunting down the best coffee in Perth while Frankie tries to make friends with literally every dog in sight and Ollie claims his throne under the café table for a good nap. Between the three of us, we’ve tested out a bunch of dog-friendly spots, and I thought I’d share our absolute favourites where both young pups and senior snuggle bugs are welcome.

This cafe feels like a little escape, full of greenery, tucked away from sight and super dog-friendly outside. Frankie loves sniffing around the garden while Ollie finds the shadiest spot for a nap. Their iced coffees are a lifesaver in summer, and the staff always make a fuss over the dogs.

Right near the foreshore, Atomic is such a good pit stop before or after a riverside walk. Dogs are welcome outside, and there’s usually plenty of space to sit and watch the world go by. Frankie thrives on the people-and-dog watching, while Ollie’s happy just chilling. The breakfast rolls here are so good.

Freo is basically dog central, and Moore & Moore is one of my favourites. It’s got a cool, artsy vibe and plenty of courtyard seating for pups. Frankie usually gets way too excited meeting other dogs, while Ollie just enjoys the relaxed atmosphere. The food is creative and fresh, definitely Instagram-worthy.

This spot is casual but trendy, with heaps of outdoor seating that’s perfect for dogs. It’s one of those places where you can grab brunch or even come back later for wood-fired pizza. Frankie loves the open space, and Ollie is just happy to be out in the breeze.

A cosy, laid-back local with great coffee and a dog-friendly courtyard. It’s not as busy as some Freo spots, so it’s ideal if you’ve got a senior pup like Ollie who prefers things a bit calmer. Frankie still manages to find friends, though.

Life with two pugs, one bouncing off the walls at age three, and one snoozing through life at seventeen, means our café trips always look a little different. But that’s the beauty of Perth’s south-of-the-river café scene: there are plenty of spots that work for both.

Whether it’s a chilled morning coffee in Bicton or a busy day out in Fremantle, Frankie and Ollie are always up for the adventure (and the pats, of course). If you’ve got any other dog-friendly favourites south of the river, let us know; we’re always on the hunt for our next puppuccino date. 🐶☕️💖
